Battlefield 3 just before a week of its official launch, due to unknown reasons, has somehow found its way to various notorious torrent sites. So far only PC version has got leaked and no such console version is being offered by any torrent site. The free download which is being offered by torrents is about 9.96 GB in size and offers complete single player campaign. As multiplayer gameplay requires an original Origin account therefore the leaked version is unable to allowmultiplayer gameplay, which by the way is the real might of the whole Battlefield series.
Dice is although not pleased by the news as they have put up plenty of effort on the single player gameplay this time and getting it leaked just days before the official launch is more than just annoying.
Some have even called the BF3 single player campaign as the long awaited ‘COD Killer‘. The source of this leak is yet to be known and it might remain unknown forever (as with most torrent associated leaks).
Battlefield 3 is slated for a U.S. release on 25th Oct on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. BF3 features 9 multiplayer maps, a brief single player campaign and a multiplayer battles for up to 64 players at a time.
The PC specs for BF3 are quite beefy thanks to its mighty and wonderful state of the art Frotbite 2 gaming engine but overall the game (beta) has received global acclaim.
